Translation QA Tools

I've just added a page to TranslationQuality.com to provide links to QA Distiller, Error Spy, and XBench, three tools designed to perform QA checks on translation files.

As soon as I can, I will put up a table to compare the features offered by these tools.

If you know of any other translation QA tools, please let us know.

Update

Also added to the page a link to BlackJack.

When translators refer to "XBench", especially to newcomers, they should clarify that they're talking about ApSIC XBench, not the XBench Macintosh benchmark tool (at Xbench.com). This confused me until I figured it out.

Translation Quality Assurance software (hereinafter referred to as TQA tools) compares source and target segments of bilingual texts (saved in .doc, .rtf, and .ttx files) in order to detect translation errors.

If you want to check your translation QA, you need to take help from an expert and experienced translator.Because no software OR any tool provide accuracy.

You can try a free tool developed by Moravia IT. It is called "Moravia PQAC" and you can check various file types.

It might look like an unnecessary cost increase at first glance, but I'd always recommend using language professionals for financial translation, the risk you run without them is sure to cost you much more in the end.

Luckily, I can't see machines taking over the jobs of human translators in the near future, as they have done with so many other professions (remember telephone operators?)

Thanks for Information Quality Assurance is the systematic process to check whether the product developed from the company is perfect and meeting the requirements specified for the product. This Quality Assurance was introduced in World War II when the weapons used were inspected and tested after manufacturing, but now the situation have changed and every company is following the advanced technologies for quality and most of the companies will have a separate department for the Quality testing.QA Online Training
